Sojourner's Cerebrations

just another sojourner... these feet are not my own, these hands are merely just on loan, they were made to be used and make love known, a fruit of a seed once long ago sown... and though the sojourner carries on as the wind is blown, she knows that she's never ever ever alone.

Aqua Jogging and 30 Mile Commute Reflections!

ha. the new title gives me the giggles.
however, these reflections are biking/C.S. Lewis writings related...
1st off, you know what, Praise God.
I feel bad for all the times I've been complaining.
I confess. I did it. not proud of it. :] there i said it. it's no good.
You know, i heard on the radio that there is a study to prove that happy people are just plain better off, they have better jobs, make more money, live longer and have more friends. They look at the world optimistically, are thankful for the simplicities of life, and see the good in people. That's awesome.
My mom and my brother were on this tv show once, called the happiest people on earth! Kev and Mom were on for like 15 minutes describing to the world why they were so happy. haha. It's great, we video-taped it! They went on tv to share about God's influence and goodness in their lives. Jenni Cooper's mom found it on tv and they astonished, it still re-runs. Who woulda thunk? Halleluja! For the Lord brings contentment in whatever situation we are in, where ever we live, how much we have- and in each moment we inhabit.
C.S. Lewis, a great teacher, led my thoughts to pride and humility.
How can you not respect and admire a truly humble person? What a rare encounter almost. Humility is an unusual concept, very abstract, & sorta to comprehend. Its selflessness, its an honoring of others and most importantly honoring God, its thinking nothing of one's self, not even a second... wow, that's like being totally outside the self. how do you get like that? Let me know if you find out... :P
.....i think total humility is like complete wholeness and oneness with God.
Praise God for that. Praise God for learning, for caring, & for the desire and the effort to understand him and his creation more and more.
Blessings for this week!
