Sojourner's Cerebrations

just another sojourner... these feet are not my own, these hands are merely just on loan, they were made to be used and make love known, a fruit of a seed once long ago sown... and though the sojourner carries on as the wind is blown, she knows that she's never ever ever alone.

love is love is love is love.

is it?

If things on earth
May be to heaven resembled,
It must be love,
Pure, constant, undissembled.

So EXCITED for what the future holds...

You know i may not be exactly in the place that I would love to be: i need health insurance, benefits, my own place, a lot of wishes in my heart and mind... but you know what, I'm much more settled in the place, with great parents and an awesome relationship (lots of love, respect, acceptance of wrongs, sorries and blessings), beautiful friends who continue to exemplify courage and faithfulness, a good car, a job that is lending me LOTS of experience, and strange incidents that keep taking place to be what we like to call a confirmation of dreams. This Thanksgiving represents a new season of thanksgiving and blessing. Praise God for his deliverance, his mercy that he lavishes, and for his fresh fire.. for: Our God is a Consuming Fire.

Liz and I at a little place in Lancaster to listen to some good guitar playing. We met plenty of strangers and friends during the night and strangers that even became friends, they were good people, honest about life, love and what it takes to keep on keeping on in this world. Although I must say that I don't need to know people's strange habits and pathological disturbances at first encounter...just keep us on a need to know basis, we're okay with that, believe me. Liz wouldn't let me buy her a drink, but i had myself some sort of dizzying concoction, just one, no worries... alcohol makes me tired for the most part, except at family functions. :P

feeling a poetic twinge...

where is my center
where is my core
where do I run to
whom do I implore

i ask not for riches
i desire no fame
I want only to be
tied to one name

people surrounding
expecting to get
an easy way at it
the corners upset

can't you just follow
let it slide on by
no one will notice
who's going't mind...

the time
when we are young
we crave adventurous feats
as we grow we
come to yearn
for the comfort of establishment
and it seems as though
that in the final leg
we understand the meaning...

of needing absolutely nothing.

But if there is
but one thing
that certainly needs the need to be needed...
(because of course there very well may be that something)
and this something
definitely should not
go on disregarded

because if it is
than needing nothing
is no humble cause

but rather
we do find it
to be something of
mere foolishness

so when you are young
cherish the threads
of stability

(in its most simple form. that is, if they so happen to be in place)
and as we grow
learn not to necessarily need them...
for they are weak unless bound by a bond of blessing

and when the race is run to completion
there is of only one thing to be proud.

Happy Halloween!!! (a little late.) whaaat??? is it November the Second already?? Get the heck out!! I Hope everyone's Halloween '06 experience was a pleasantly scary one! Mine was quite enjoyable. I actually went trick or treating twice! Just like a big kid would. Actually I went with the kids I work with, they were the cutest little scary things ever! People are crazy though. We went through one house that apparently goes ALL OUT. They give a tour through their "haunted house" which is decorated to a fine "t" of wretchedly freakish satanic things and chase the kids out of the home when they exit through the back door. Yes I was apart of this fiasco. It was quite amusing.

I never went trick or treating with my family -the parents were against it. I was too. Buuuuuut kids look so adorable all dressed up in their costumes. I'm doin' it! If I have kids some day they better be prepared to be the best dressed little monsters on the block!

P.S.....Don't be eatin' too much candy! It won't be too much longer for you know what....Save room for Thanksgiving!!
